How we research and publish.

Readers should be able to distinguish evidence, explanation, opinion and commercial relationships.

Well Water Clarity prioritizes accurate, understandable and appropriately cautious information for private-well owners.

Source priorities

Health and safety guidance should rely primarily on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, state health and environmental agencies, university extension programs, recognized standards organizations and peer-reviewed literature where appropriate.

Test-first recommendations

We do not infer safety or prescribe treatment solely from color, taste, odor or appearance. Treatment discussions identify the measurements and operating conditions needed to make a meaningful comparison.

Product evaluation

Future product coverage will distinguish manufacturer claims from independent certifications and our own observations. We will state whether a product was purchased, supplied, examined only through documentation or not directly tested.

Commercial independence

Affiliate compensation will not determine factual conclusions or guarantee favorable coverage. Sponsored material, if ever accepted, will be labeled. The site currently contains no affiliate product links.

Corrections and updates

Material corrections will be made promptly when identified. Articles covering changing guidance or product specifications should display review or update information as the site develops.

Reader responsibility

Our material supports better questions; it does not replace laboratory analysis, well inspection, medical care or advice from state and local authorities.
